Course description
Each student plans his/her topic of research. Students will present their ideas for solutions, results of experiments, and considerations to other students and professors, discuss with them and improve their plans.

Students present the progress of their researches at every meeting in your laboratory, monthly meeting for a long time and before external presentations or publishing papers. They must answer questions and comments and often advised for further progress.
Expected Learning
Learners who complete this course will be able to prepare:
- research theme selection,
- research scheduling,
- writing papers and patents.

Course schedule
1. Introduction
Introduction and lecture schedule.
2. Research theme design
3. Planning for research schedule
4.-7. Paper reading
Students select papers corresponding to their research themes and present their contents for professors and other laboratory members.
8.-13. Report on research progress
Students present the progress of their researches at every meeting in individual laboratories.
14. Conclusions
Summarize own research and discuss for future work.
15. Final presentation
Prerequisites
This lecture is part of the courses in the department of computer and information science. Students should spend 30 hours in the class, and they are recommended to spend 30 hours per week researching.

Assessment/Grading
Evaluation is made with the progress of the research (50%), presentations and publications produced students (50%).
