Course description
This course offers discussions on surveys, academic contributions, planning, and funding related to students’ research for conducting innovative research projects. In this course, following the success in Research and Development Planning Ⅰ, students discuss contributions to both businesses and academia with the lecturer based on surveys on technology and markets. Through these processes, the course develops abilities to research planning.
Expected Learning
Students learn the methods to propose research and development planning.

Course schedule
(1) Report and discussion: Students proceed with the research projects discussing the supervisor and other laboratory members. They must move their research project independently by making the most of the suggestions.
(2) Literature survey: Students select research papers related to the research projects and discuss the contents with the supervisors and other laboratory members.
(3) Representation of the research results
(4) Final Presentation

Prerequisites
This seminar is part of the common courses and is the second grade required course. In addition to the time in the seminar and for preparation, students are recommended to spend the standard amount of time as specified by the University on self-learning.

The grade is estimated by the level of the presentation and the final report. The evaluation will be determined by the 5-point method.
S(90-100): Superior.
A(80-89): Good.
Dissertation and final presentation (60%), presentation and discussion in the seminar (20%), and attitude in the laboratory (20%)
B(70-79): Fair.
C(60-69): Poor,
D(0-59): Not applicable.
