Course description |
A survey on the market trend and technology of the focal field is essential to conduct an innovative research project proposal. In this course, students discuss with the lecturer based on their survey to make the research contributions clear in their community. |
Expected Learning |
Students learn how to survey and analyze the focal field and relevant technologies. (Based on Diploma Policy: (D)) |
Course schedule |
(1) Report and discussion: Students proceed with the survey discussing the supervisor and other laboratory members. They must move their projects independently by making the most of the suggestions. (2) Literature survey: Students select research papers related to the business projects and discuss the contents with the supervisors and other laboratory members. (3) Representation of the research results (4) Final Presentation (The above course schedule depends on the progress of the research.) |
Prerequisites |
This seminar is part of the standard courses and is the required course. First-year students must take this course. In addition to the time in the seminar, students must spend the standard amount of time specified by the University on self-learning. |

Assessment/Grading |
The grade is estimated by the level of the discussion, the presentation, and the final report. Evaluation will be determined by the 5-point method. S (90-100): Superior. A (80-89): Good. B (70-79): Fair. C (60-69): Poor, D (0-59): Not applicable. Report and final presentation (60%), presentation and discussion in the seminar (20%), and attitude in the laboratory (20%) |
