The aim of this course is to introduce students to basic strategies in scientific communication in English. In this course, students will be engaged in class activities such as presenting a brief summary of their research, making persuasive arguments, developing coping strategies for discussion, asking critical and constructive questions, and managing a round-table scientific discussion. At the end of the course, each student will give a presentation on their research, which will be followed by a discussion session.
Expected Learning
Students will learn useful skills for effectively communicating their scientific research, formulating arguments, and leading constructive discussions.

3. Presenting a brief self-introduction and summary of research: “Science pitches”

5. Research presentation structure (IMRAD); Useful signpost expressions; Making effective slides; Explaining visuals; Handling questions
6. Final presentations and round-table discussion 1 (Attended by student advisors)

Undergraduate level of English proficiency is required.
