Course description |
Students are to develop advanced level presentation skills relevant in the field of biofunction engineering through poster or oral presentations at a scientific meeting or a conference. |
Expected Learning |
(1)To obtain the communication skills at domestic and international conferences. (2)To obtain the presentation technique for making audiences understand the importance of his/her research by summarizing results. |
Course schedule |
Students will prepare their presentation materials either in a poster format or powerpoit slides in which they report their recent progress in their doctor’s thesis studies. Particular emphasis is placed on developing skills to effectively communicate on the topics at the frontiers in the field to academic audiences. Students will also learn how to actively engage in discussion during question and answer session following the presentation session. |

Presentation and discussion at a scientific meeting or a conference will be evaluated by supervisor of each students. The evaluation criteria are as follows. Written assignments: 40% Oral presentations and discussion : 60% |
