| Course description |

In order to bring up researchers with broad scientific vision, a detailed bibliographic survey, material preparation followed by a oral presentation will be performed by each student in the doctoral program. The students should chose a topic related to but different from their research theme.

| Expected Learning |
|
After completing this course, the students should be able to answer the research questions concerning the topics of optical measurements and related subjects.The students should present their work at academic conferences.
|
| Course schedule |
|
The students should make a survey of state-of-the-art optical measurements and related subjects based on the latest scientific literature. The findings from the survey should be summarized into a report which needs to be orally presented. In the Lab seminar, the students should answer all the questions from the members based on a scientific viewpoint.

The students will be evaluated by the quality of the submitted research paper(s).
S: 90 points or more, A: 80 or more and less than 90 points, B: 70 or more and less than 80 points, C: 60 or more and less than 70 points.
