Course description |
This course provides two kinds of important knowledge that are needed to perform experiments. One is the theory of uncertainty in experiments and the other is the theory of Fourier transform. This course corresponds to the specialized fundamental courses of the curriculum of the Department of Bio-Functions and Systems Science. |
Expected Learning |
Students obtain the ability to handle error analysis and to use Fourier transform for their own investigations. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the curriculum maps. |
Course schedule |
1. What is Error analysis? 2. Propagation of error 3. Random error 4.Error of mean value 5. Least squares method 6. Convolution integral 7. Fourier transform 8. Sampling theorem |
