Course description |
Students will learn various technologies used to realize biomimetic and/or autonomous mechanical systems through discussions with the instructor on the specified research papers. This course is included in the Specialized Applied Courses of the curriculum of the Department of Bio-Functions and Systems Science.

Expected Learning |
Students who successfully completed this course will be able to collect research papers on the given topics, summarize the recent trends in that field, and relate them correctly with his/her own research.

Course schedule |
Week 1-8: Conduct literature search on the topics given by the instructor and report the results.

Prerequisites |
In addition to 16 hours of study in the classes, students are recommended to use at least the standard amount of time specified by the University for preparing for and reviewing the lecture contents using the lecture handouts and the references specified below.

Assessment/Grading |
Grading will be done by evaluating the report on the literature survey results and the discussions made with the instructor on the report (100%). The evaluation will be made by examining whether the students have acquired correct understandings of the materials dealt in the course and can clearly explain them by their own words.
