Course description |
In synthetic biology, the attempts to reconstruct (create) living systems by combining biological elements are performed. Physical models to emulate biological behavior are also actively developed and investigated in non-equilibrium physics. In this course, students acquire the ability to understand living systems from multiple perspectives through discussions of research papers in these fields. This course is one of the Specialized Fused Courses of the curriculum of the Department of Bio-Functions and Systems Science. |
Expected Learning |
Learners who complete this course will be able to understand living systems from multiple perspectives of synthetic biology and non-equilibrium physics in addition to conventional biology. See the Curriculum maps. |
