Course description |
In the first two years of the integrated doctoral program, students acquire knowledge in their own fields of expertise and basic research methodologies, and acquire diverse perspectives and methodologies in research by conducting research in fields other than these. The field of "acquisition of knowledge and basic research methodology in one's own field of expertise" here is referred to as "Research Guidance A".
|
Expected Learning |
Acquire the knowledge, perspective, and skills that will form the basis of your five-year research activities. In addition, data and ideas should be accumulated to the point where it is possible to bring about significant developments in research from the third year.
|
Course schedule |
Consult with the research and teaching advisor at the time of enrollment to plan and establish one of your strongest areas of expertise. Learn the knowledge and research methods in the area of expertise that you are aiming for, and set a theme that will open up the era. Further discussion will be made on the knowledge and research techniques to be learned with the aim of solving the problem. Through trial and error in these areas, it aims to arrive at the most appropriate theme and approach to it, and to reach the stage where it can be presented at academic conferences.

Message from instructor(s) |
In the first two years, research guidance A tends to be delayed in comparison with the research of other majors because there are research guidance B and C, and also because various training courses are taken. But don't be impatient and remember that your goal is not to achieve immediate results, but rather to become a person who can be greatly developed later.
