Course description
July, 7, 2022 (Thurs) 10:00 ? This class will be held by online lecture using zoom.
Plant hormones: physiological roles, action mechanism and application in agriculture.
Plant growth, development and response to environmental signals are regulated by various plant hormones. In this course, I will talk about the roles of plant hormones, mainly abscisic acid, in plant development and adaptation to environment at molecular and chemical basis.
Expected Learning
Understand plant hormone’s roles, action mechanism and application to agriculture.
Course schedule
Introduction, roles of plant hormones in plant development and response to environmental signals.
Biosynthesis and inactivation of plant hormones.
Transport and signal transduction of plant hormones.
Application of plant hormones to agriculture.
Prerequisites
Students who take this course are encouraged to read the plant hormone section in text book.
