An overview of lifelong learning in general is given in terms of the significance of lifelong learning society and the challenges for its construction, the contemporary significance and international comparison of lifelong learning, the history of social education and the development of lifelong learning policies, the content and methods of lifelong learning, and the roles of employees and instructors. |

Orientation for the first lecture The outline of the entire class will be given, and points for the course will be checked. Lecture2: Social Change and the Creation of a Learning Society Consider the path to a learning society by examining the factors behind the social background for lifelong learning theory. Lecture3: The Modern Character of Lecture Lifelong Learning Through the examination of several theories of lifelong education, we will gain an understanding of the significance and modern character of today's lifelong learning theory. Lecture4: International Trends in Lifelong Learning Learn lifelong education strategies from international organizations such as UNESCO and OECD, and expand understanding of lifelong learning in Japan from a macro perspective. Lecture5:Basic Framework of Lecture Lifelong Learning Based on the principles of learning and education, we will organize the basic knowledge to understand today's lifelong learning. Lecture6 Lecture: Lifetime Human Development Students learn about lifelong developmental tasks and learning from childhood to adulthood and old age while gaining an understanding of lifelong development. Lecture7:Lecture: Contemporary Issues and Lifelong Learning Consider contemporary issues related to social issues that are expected to be resolved through learning by citizens, such as the purpose of life and community development. Lecture8:Lecture: Development of Lifelong Learning Policy Looking back on the development of lifelong learning policies in Japan, we can see changes in education policies. To obtain the organization and understanding of policy terminology. Lecture9: Lecture: Lifelong Learning Promotion System in Local Communities It is an opportunity to learn about the current situation of lifelong learning support at the local government level, and to turn the participants' interest and awareness to the region where they live. Lecture12: Legal System Concerning Social Education Systematically learn about laws and regulations that support citizen learning so that all citizens can participate in lifelong learning. Lecture13: Facilities for Social Education and Lifelong Learning In addition to understanding the expansion of social education facilities and lifelong learning facilities and the characteristics of facility management, problems and issues faced by today's facilities will be identified. Lecture14: Professional Staff for Social Education and Lifelong Learning Consider the basic roles and significance of professional staff such as supervisors, curators, and librarians who support citizens' learning activities. Lecture15 : Methods and Practical Issues in Lifelong Learning To explore the possibility of volunteers and NPOs that expand lifelong learning for citizens, and to find issues for lifelong learning. |
