Course description
We are facing a super-aging society, and various problems are occurring in medical and social welfare. To address these issues, we are studying aging in Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of gerontology. Gerontology is the study including not only biological aspects of aging but also social, cultural, psychological, and economical aspects.
In this lecture, we would like you to deepen your understanding of "aging research" by the our study presentation and tour of the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology.
Expected Learning
Learn about issues in a super-aging society and the concept of aging research to deal with those issues.

Prerequisites
It is preferable for students to prerequisite basic biology, basic biochemistry, basic molecular biology, basic biophysics, basic physical chemistry, basic epidemiology, and basic statistics.
