| In this class, students learn basic inspection methods, techniques and interpretations of blood, fluid, and tissue specimens obtained from domestic animals with various kinds of diseases. |

Veterinary Clinical Pathology 1. Procedures for collection of clinical specimens and interpretation of laboratory results 2. Hematological examination 1) Red blood cells (erythrocytes) 2) White blood cells (leukocytes) 3) Platelets and blood coagulation and fibrinolytic system 4) Plasma and serum proteins 3. Immunological examination 4. Assessment of electrolyte and acid-base status, and blood gas analysis 5. Urinalysis and laboratory evaluation of the urinary system 6. Laboratory evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas and hepatobiliary system 1) The gastrointestinal tract and pancreas 2) The hepatobiliary system 7. Laboratory evaluation of endocrine and metabolic disorders. 8. Laboratory evaluation of the locomotor system and bone diseases 9. Laboratory evaluation of body cavity fluids and skin samples 10.
