Course description
Students will learn to recognize the relation with insect and agriculture by learning the entomological basics.
This is part of the Courses of Animal Production Science in the Department of Biological Production.
Expected Learning
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to understand from the basics of entomology to the newest research.

Prerequisites
Students should visit the “Insect museum” at Tama Animal Park, and prepare a report.

In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below.

Assessment/Grading
We evaluate in learning attitude (20%), assignment (20%) and examination (60%). (Examination takes place at the end of the term. Questions are designed to assess the understanding of and the ability to explain the topics dealt in the lectures.)
