Course description
This course is offered as one of the Extended General Education courses of the Global Integrated Studies.
With specialized knowledge in agricultural science and engineering at its core, this course aims to help students acquire the thinking methods necessary to solve problems in organizations and society as researchers and professionals.
In particular, the course will challenge students to think about questions that cannot be answered by science alone and themes with a high degree of uncertainty, and to consider how to design a thinking process that leads to the best solution under limited conditions and how to develop ideas.
Expected Learning
・To be able to understand how to think about problem-solving for highly uncertain topics.
・To be able to understand how to think outside the box and create new value.

Prerequisites
・This course focuses on active activities such as individual work, team discussions and presentations.
・The course also serves as a basic required course in the Science-Based Visionary Leader Program. Through activities in this class, students participating in the program make one selection for Prior Training I.
・The class code for Google Classroom will be provided to students individually after the drawing.

Evaluation will be based on the report at the end of the class (70%) and individual and team activities in the class (30%).
