Course description
This lecture will discuss what waste is, the history of waste, the legal framework for creating a recycling-oriented society with a focus on recycling-related laws, waste treatment technologies, and recycling technologies for recycled materials. Paper and plastics will be taken up as recycled materials, and their respective recycling technologies will be discussed while unraveling the principles of their manufacture. A report assignment will be presented at the beginning of the class, and students will be asked to think about the assignment many times throughout the class to deepen their own ideas about resource recycling.
Expected Learning
The learner efficiently learns importance of material recycling and promote better undrstaing of forming a sustainable society. From the view point of attitude being economical with resources, the learner find out a point to recycle a material.
