Course description
Food tech is a coined word consisting of food and technology. Food tech is attracting attention from various fields such as companies, consumers, and governments as a solution to social issues related to food, and is building a firm foothold after the pandemic of the new coronavirus. Therefore, we will proceed with the lecture while deciphering the reasons why food tech is attracting attention. The goal is to be able to think about global issues such as population growth, climate change, and economic disparities that lie before the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the perspective of food.
Expected Learning
・Understand the outline of food tech.
・Understand the value of food and trends in food technology.
・Understand environmental issues surrounding food.
