Course description
This lecture was given by Professor Isamu Morino, Earth System Division (Satellite Observation Laboratory), National Institute for Environmental Studies
I am planning an intensive course.
Class schedules will be announced in the syllabus and Classroom by the end of September, so please check them.

Lecture outline:
Lectures will be given on greenhouse gases, global warming, and methods for measuring greenhouse gases.
Expected Learning
Attainment criteria are:
Fundamental understanding of greenhouse gases and global warming.

Course schedule
Increasing greenhouse gases and global warming are among the greatest environmental problems. Understanding the amount and source of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions is the most fundamental way to understand and solve global warming. In this lecture, we are going to lecture on the following points about the basic contents of the method of measuring greenhouse gases.
(1) Physical and chemical properties of greenhouse gases
(2) Anthropogenic or natural sources of greenhouse gases and their emissions
(3) Global measurement method for greenhouse gases
(4) Current situation and issue for the global measurements of the greenhouse gas
Prerequisites
In addition to 8 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as indicated in the student guidelines of TUAT and using the lecture handouts.
Required Text(s) and Materials
Handouts will be distributed.
