Course description
In contemporary age, many global ploblems are proposed in the world. In this year, we will examine three themes. 1)After nuclear weapons prohibition came into effct, the significance of nuclear weapons/peace problems come to be more important. We will trace the history of nuclear disarmament, and clear the road to ban nuclear weapons. 2)We examine "Japanese-American alliance" that influence the international security, and also the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty, the Status Accord, American bases in Japan. 3)We take up the theme of 《structual violence and peace》We consider the problems of hunger, environmental problems, and violence due to discrimination, and think these causes, the mehods for solution.
Expected Learning
Avec different Global problems, for example, Climate Change, Global Warming, human rights, immigrants/refugees, coexistence of people and nature, we should think that three peaceful themes, act in ordinary life, and bring peaceful consciousness about.
