Course description |
The purpose of the Wildlife Conservation Techniques is to understand the capture methods for large mammals, radio-telemetry techniques for behavioral study, and the survey methods to evaluate population trends and to estimate population size of mammal population. |
Expected Learning |
Students need to gain ability to explain the methods and techniques for wildlife conservation as follows: 1) the merits and demerits of various capture methods for large mammals, 2) the survey for home range and habitat use of animals using radio-telemetry, 3) the methods for evaluating the population trends and estimation of population size. |
