Course description |
< Inorganic chemistry III will mainly deal with the field of coordination chemistry. The lecture will give the basic knowledge on coordination compounds (kinds, nomenclature and functional properties) and their reaction mechanisms. Fundamental theory (ligand field theory) and new fields of coordination chemistry (organometallic and bioinorganic chemistry) will be also introduced and explained by using some practical examples. |
Expected Learning |
1. Understanding the concept of coordination chemistry. 2. Acquiring the knowledge on kinds, nomenclature, special effects, reaction mechanisms and new-developed fields of coordination compounds. Please refer to the curriculum map in the Faculty of Engineering Course Guide for the criteria in the curriculum policy. |
