| Course description |
| The class aim at providing practical knowledge of bioinfomatics tools and programing techniques that will be useful to students in life science and biotechnology for analysing/designing their experiments. In this introduction to bioinformatics you can learn the basics of programing (C-programing), and have an overview of bioinformatics tools that are vailable on the internet. During the classes you'll have practicals that include wrting simple C programs and internet search. |

After tking this class: You'll be able to read and understand how a programing language works. You'll ba able to write simple programs in C. You'll be able to anlyze sequences (DNA and proteins), searching and comparing sequences and structures. Carry out a literature search etc. |
