Course description
This course is one of the subject of master's thesis. Through this course, students acquire new research methods and knowledge for further upgrading expertise based on each special field related to master's thesis. Discuss the analysis, consideration, and presenting technique of the research results, acquire the ability to promote research in the special field while evaluating the validity with the supervisor who are different from the main supervisor.
Expected Learning
The candidate should be able to understand and discuss the chemistry and biochemistry of biological low-molecular-weight organic compounds, biology and virology related to plant pathology, and biology and biochemistry related to insect science at postgraduate level. In other words, the student should have acquired the knowledge, collected the knowledge and discussed the issues that will contribute to the preparation of the master's thesis, and should have achieved a level of ability appropriate for a graduate student.

Course schedule
These are omnibus lectures given by three teachers from the Department of Biological Control Science.
The lecture schedule is as follows. The lecture format is based on a face-to-face meeting.
The lectures are held every Monday in the second period.
The lecture dates follow the academic year, so lectures are also held on public holidays.
However, depending on the situation, lectures may be delivered live online or on-demand.

Prerequisites
The required study time follows the University's standard number of hours. The course guide should be read carefully and preparation and review are also required. Slides and papers used in the lectures will be available as handouts and downloads on Google Classroom, so please use them for preparation and review.
