| Dr. Kazuki Saito will discuss current constraints and opportunity in agriculture, technological advances, and technology transfer in the tropics, with special attention to rice cultivation. The course includes lecture, questions & answers, group discussion, oral presentation, and etc. |

| Prerequisites |

The study content will follow the University's standard number of hours. Preparation and review should be conducted with reference materials and handouts. In addition to the 30 hours of class time, students should refer to the distributed lecture materials and reference books, and conduct pre and post-learning that is equivalent to the standard number of hours at the University. |
