Course description
The purpose of the Functional Control of Natural ResourcesⅠ is to understand the chemical, physical, and structural properties of biomass, especially plants, and to learn techniques for efficient use of biomass. This is positioned as a recommended course in the field of Education and Research in Functional Control of Natural Resource.

Prof. Horikawa will give lectures on the structure and chemical components of biomass, and their analysis technique.

Prof. Ohmi will give lectures on the wood adhesive, wood materials and processing for better durability.

Prof. Matsushita will give lectures on the analysis for lignin and extractives, and their chemical reaction.
Expected Learning
Students will be able to explain the fundamental properties of biomass and understand utilization techniques.
