The effective utilization of woody biomass, which is a renewable resource and energy source, is important for the sustainable development of society while reducing the burden on the global environment. This lecture outlines the latest findings on "Wood identification based on morphological information" and "Molecular biology of wood cell wall formation and genetic modification of trees", which are closely related to the effective utilization of woody biomass and the realization of a carbon-neutral society. |
