In the first seven sessions, the instructor explains the basic knowledge for considering environmental issues. After sharing the basic knowledge, 3-4 students in each class are asked to make a presentation based on a theme set by the instructor with a question-and-answer session (mini-symposium format). |

1) Outline of this class (food safety issues as a case study) 2) Japan's rapid economic growth after World War II 3) Industrial Sectoral Change, and the International Division of Labor 4) Outline of Macroeconomics 5) Outline of Marxian economics and Japanese-style labor-management relations 6) World Structure after World War II I: East-West Conflict (Cold War) 7) World Structure after World War II II: North-South problem After that, 3-4 students will give presentations each time with a question-and-answer session (mini-symposium). |
