Course description
Some lecturers who takes a leading place in their respective specialized fields will be invited. They explain the latest research and technological development trends, including food and agricultural information engineering and related fields. The outline of the class for each lecturer in charge is as follows.
1. Overview of smart agriculture (by Yutaka Kaizu)
2. The basic matter of post-harvest, which is a series of processes from post-harvest to processing, distribution, and consumption of agricultural products, will be explained. In addition, some examples of post-harvest management overseas will be introduced.
3. It explains: soil and groundwater pollution problems and history that have become more diverse and complex in recent years, pollutant types and dynamics of pollution sources, Domestic and international trends of cleanup and restoration measures, etc. (by Takeshi Saito)
Expected Learning
1. To understand the advantages and disadvantages of the current state of smart farming and related elemental technology.
2. To understand post-harvest basics and overseas cases.
3. To understand that pollutants that become problems (attracting attention) change with the times, and that the dynamics of pollutants in soil and groundwater, as well as remediation and restoration measures, etc., differ depending on the pollutant.
