Course description
Aiming at strengthening skills for master thesis research, the course participant will collect information on the research field and literature, practice observation and interviews, conduct social experiments, etc., and acquire new research methods and knowledge. Working with the sub-supervisor, the participant will increase the ability to conduct research in the specialized field by assessing the validity of the analysis, discussion, expression method, etc. of the research results.
Expected Learning
Course participants will learn the logical system of agricultural science, basic knowledge and application essential to scientific pursuits, and the ability to apply them horizontally. Participants will develop the ability to compile and publish research results while respecting research ethics. Participants will acquire advanced professional skills, as well as wide view and high insight, and become able to research to solve problems.

Course schedule
1st hour: Introduction - information exchange on master thesis research, confirmation of research concept, and supervision
2nd to 15th hours: Guidance of sub-supervisor - the participant will confirm research concept and plan, share information and receive advice on research. According to the progress and development of the research, the participant will report and present the summary, analysis, and interpretation of the research results, and the plan for further study. Through feedback from the sub-supervisor, the participants will obtain useful information on the master thesis, and receive advice for research presentation and thesis writing. The applicability of research results will also be discussed.
Prerequisites
This is an elective subject of Special Study Group B designed for students of October enrollment. Students enrolled in April should take an elective subject of Special Study Group A.

Participants will conduct preparation and review of classes for standard hours set by the University.
