Course description |
To participate in conferences or symposiums related to one's own research held in Japan for a total of 15 hours or more (including web participation), present research, listen to presentations by outstanding researchers, and participate in Q&A sessions, thereby reconsidering the direction of one's own research, developing the ability to devise more advanced research, and the ability of innovation. Expected Learning |
The goal of this course is to form a foundation for internationally active veterinarians and researchers, etc. Students will be able to present their own research and understand the ideas, methods of execution, interpretation of results, and methods of presentation in their research. Preparation of abstracts for conference presentations and procedures for participation in the conference Preparation of presentations and manuscripts Conducting presentations and answering questions Question and answer session on other's presentation Reflection after the conference and preparation of a report on how the content can be incorporated into their own research. |
Prerequisites |
Elective Compulsory Course n order to achieve the achievement standards, students must prepare in advance, make a presentation, and reflect on the presentation afterwards, and secure study time equivalent to the standard number of hours required by the University. In the case of a one-day conference, credit can be granted by attending and presenting at more than one conference (15 hours or more in total). In such cases, students must complete registration procedures for each conference they attend. |

Assessment/Grading |
The supervisor will evaluate the student's preparation for the conference presentation, the completeness of the presentation materials and manuscript, questions and answers about his/her own and others' research presentations, attitude toward participation, reports, and so on. |

Remarks 1 |
Only presentations made by the student, regardless of whether it is a single or joint presentation. Language and presentation format (poster or oral) are not required. Course registration is accepted at any time at the Educational Office by submitting the registration form. Students who are scheduled to complete their studies in March must submit the form by the end of January, and those who are scheduled to complete in September must submit it by the end of July. Credit will be granted for up to one credit during the period of enrollment. |
