Course description
IoT systems and the Internet are becoming increasingly important as the infrastructure that supports our daily lives. In future, network technology will be involved in some way in all kinds of systems.
In this lecture, students will learn about technologies related to information and communication networks, using actual examples from corporate research and development (R&D).
Expected Learning
Students will be able to understand the structure of information and communication networks.
Students understand the characteristics of major communication protocols.
Students should be able to understand the standards for information and communication networks and be able to obtain standard documents when necessary.
Course schedule
This course is divided into two parts in order to study information and communication networks. The first part of each lecture is used to acquire knowledge of the devices and communication protocols that make up information and communication networks, from the basics to the latest technologies. The second part uses the second half of each lecture and includes exercises to consolidate the knowledge learned. The exercises will include group discussions and presentations as necessary to provide students with opportunities to share the knowledge they have acquired.

In this lecture, in addition to learning about information and communication networks, the lecturers will share their own experiences of being involved in research and development as research engineers in companies. We hope that this lecture will provide students with an opportunity to think about corporate research and development.
