Course description |
This subject corresponds to the thesis research, etc. in the curriculum of the Department of Biosystems Science, and is a required subject in the first year of the Master's course. The objective of this course is to obtain a broad knowledge of a specialized subject (natural language processing), propose a new method for a problem set by the student, conduct experiments and discussions, and write academic papers. Based on the graduation research conducted during the undergraduate years, this class is designed to promote appropriate research through discussions with faculty members and other students. |

Course schedule |
1st - 30th Paper reading, experiments, discussion, and paper writing. The processes are roughly shown below. 1st-3rd Paper reading 4-10th Paper reading and proposal of new method 11-15th Proposal and implementation of new method 16-30 Implementation, experiments, improvement of methods, and discussion Writing of external papers and readings of related papers, and discussions with faculty members and other members inside and outside the laboratory (including presentations in conferences), as appropriate. |
