Course description |
Lectures on related areas with food, energy, and environment will be given in English. GCFP "I" will especially focus on agricultural fields. Students deepen knowledge through lectures and discussion on current issues and the cutting edge research in the world. In principle, the lectures will be held in several days from August to October. |

※All this lecture will be conducted in English. ◆8.28(Mon)、8.29(Tue)、9/4(Mon) 13:00〜18:00 ※The first three classes will be held in the lecture room 原 孝友 Hara Kohsuke As a case study of food and nutrition, we pick up a project that has been implemented in Zambia, Africa. First, we discuss how those issues are structured in global society such as food production and import, donor agencies and foreign companies, policy of Zambia government, social change and gap between urban cities and rural villages. Next, we discuss project-level agendas such as purpose of the project and sustainability, corporate finance and microfinance, marketing, adaptability of production technology. Finally, we consider how your current research will make your envisioned society. ◆10.5(Thu)、10.12(Thu)、10.19(Thu) 13:00〜18:00 ※The last three classes will be held online 柏 毅 Kashiwa Takeshi Diseases in plants are one of the biggest concerns for agricultural practices and global food security. This course introduces the foundations of plant pathology, the recent progresses in this research field, and the recent developments in disease management to students taking this course. This course also introduces examples of soybean disease management strategy in South American countries. |
