| Course description |

This course consists of either study trip to Steinbeis or China. In China program, students obtain more understanding for food production, environmental problems, and their solutions through a field trip to Northwest China and Iinan town, Shimane Prefecture with students of Sophia University. International communication exercises I to IV should be registered together.

| Expected Learning |
|
Students perform a field trip through discussion with team members and make their own presentation and reports.

| Course schedule |
|
In China program, students make teams with those of Sophia University and every team decide a subject related to crop production or environmental issues in Northwest China and Iinan Town, Shimane Prefecture. After pre-studies (May to July), students perform a study trip (August to September) consisting of lectures, surveys to river, canal, fields and wetland, and experiments. Through these activities, students obtain more understanding for food production, environmental problems, and their solutions in Northwest China and Shimane Prefecture.
