概要

This course will develop further some of the basic ideas and exercises covered in Scientific Communications I and III. The students will develop their ability to work and interact within a team, and identify the differences between working in 'groups' and 'teams' and different strategies required. The course will be mostly theoretical and will be complemented by practical exercises in Scientific Communications IV.

到達基準

This course will provides students with the skills to participate in team meetings comfortably and confidently. During the term, students develop the ability to present opinions and ideas clearly and concisely and to respond to multiple questions and comments while speaking to a group. Students will learn to recognize their own and their team members thinking styles, and to adapt their roles for optimum productivity. Other skills acquired through this course include assimilating and using various sources of information from different media, and note taking and summarizing techniques.
