概要

この科目では、学生が英語による効果的なプレゼンテーションを企画・実施する能力を伸ばすことを目標とします。また、1年次から継続して、なめらかなスピーキングを行う基本的な技能、英語でコミュニケーションを行う能力を伸ばします。

到達基準

以下のことができるようになる： ・学生は、英語による効果的なプレゼンテーションについて、調査、企画、構成する能力を伸ばします。 ・学生は、明確な発話、ジェスチャー、資料を用いて、自信を持って英語のプレゼンテーションを行う能力を伸ばします。 ・学生は、クラスメートとのやりとりを通して、英語を話し聞く技能を伸ばします。 ・授業の大半の時間、学生は学生同士で英語によるやりとりを行います。 主な目標（科目別目標一覧対応） 異文化理解○、国際感覚○、コミュニケーション◎

授業内容

- This class teaches basic presentation skills needed for any public speaking, including presentations in seminars and conferences. Students will write, memorize and present speeches to the class on a variety of topics. Each assignment is longer and more complex as students build their skills and become more confident with speaking in front of a class in English. Emphasis in this class is on effective communication, not perfection. Class 1: Orientation, Attitude, Posture, Self-Introductions Class 2: Using gestures in public speaking Class 3: Speech #1 Class 4: Voice inflection Class 5: Speech #2 Class 6: Creating effective visuals Class 7: Introducing effective visuals Class 8: Speech #3 Class 9: Creating the Introduction Class 10: Speech #4 Class 11: Evidence and structure Class 12: Transitions and Sequencers Class 13: Creating the Conclusion Class 14: Final Speeches Class 15 Final Speeches

履修条件・関連項目

卒業要件に必修の1単位 授業時間30時間に加え、テキストや参考書を用いて本学の標準時間数に準ずる予習復習を行う。 単位取得には、2 / 3以上の出席が必須。遅刻・早退は2回で欠席1回とみなす。
