概要

大学院生のためのリスニングおよびリーディングの基礎訓練を行います。 学術的内容のリスニングを行い、内容理解、ポイント把握、note-takingなどの練習を行うほか、英語の音の特徴を学び、リスニング力を高めます。 また、理工系の内容を扱った一般的リーディング教材の速読を行い、内容を口頭でのべる訓練を行います。 さらに、英語を使った発表やディスカッションも行います。

到達基準

以下を到達基準とします． １．15分〜30分程度の知的内容を扱ったレクチャーを聴いてある程度理解できる ２．短時間に効率的な英文読解ができ、口頭で要約できる ３．各自の研究内容について英語で簡単に説明できる ディプロマポリシーの観点 履修案内のカリキュラムマップを参照してください。

授業内容

1. Guidance, Introduction 2-4. Presentation and Discussion 5. Comparing the language of lecturing to the language of writing Recognizing cues, paraphrase, repetition, exemplification, etc. Key differences between the language of lecturing and the language of writing 6. Getting the main ideas using content and prediction Predicting content and lecture direction Using note-taking symbols and abbreviations 7. Differentiating between Numbers that sound similar, Noting years and large numbers, fractions and decimals 8. Listening to lectures [1] 9. Listening to lectures [2] 10. Listening to lectures [3] 11-14. Presentation and Discussion 15. Wrap up 講義内容は、進捗状況により変更することがある。 本学の標準時間数に準ずる予習と復習を行うこと。
